Snowflake
Obsidian A member
of the quartz group it is a variety of volcanic glass with striking white radial
mineral inclusions. Obsidian is claimed to banish grief, provide
protection from negative energy and improve physical and spiritual vision.
Leopard skin Jasper

The same basic characteristics as fancy jasper but more highly figured with
golden tawny background and rich multi colored inclusions. A very unusual and
intriguing stone.
Goldstone
Thousand of tiny copper particles suspended in a dark blue glassy background make this a
striking stone. Goldstone is not naturally occurring but was originally
produced by a monastic order in early Italy and used as adornment in many
religious ceremonies. It is associated with cleanliness of spirit and
thought.
Howlite
An ivory white borate
of calcium which displays a spider web pattern of fine black lines. It has been
used traditionally to control anger, strengthen bones and improve memory.
Carnelian
- A deep, rich
orange chalcedony member of the quartz group, similar to agate but more lightly
banded. Carnelian was used in Roman times to protect against envy, fear
and rage. It is also claimed to promote general healing and grounding,
increase energy and control allergies by placing the stone on the afflicted
area.
Aventurine

A medium
green member of the quartz group with a metallic iridescence caused by fuchsite
(green mica) scale inclusions. Aventurine traditionally promotes
leadership ability and is said to provide its wearer with better luck, more
money and improved perception and creativity. In Gemstone Therapy it is
used to enhance general healing support by blocking negative energies and
strengthen the central nervous system.
Black Onyx
- A
chalcedony quartz formed in discreet layers to produce a rich, dense, dark color
with good depth. Onyx is thought to have the power to change bad habits,
provide general grounding and increase self confidence, banish grief and enhance
self control.
Malachite
A carbonate of
copper presenting highly defined light and dark green swirling bands. It is said
to provide the wearer with patience, tolerance, spiritual growth, ease the pain
of arthritis and strengthen the immune system.
Tree Agate -
Also a member of
the quartz group with a white or clear background and unusual dark green
foliage-like surface patterns. Used to broaden viewpoint and provide
introspection, said to bring wealth, luck, physical and emotional balance along
with self confidence.
Fancy Jasper - An
opaque colored member of the quartz group which exhibits a rich variety of muted
earth tones, gold, greens, creams and browns. Associated with astral
travel it is said to provide unification and balance of spirit, quickness and
clarity of thought and promote practicality.
